With our E-TUBE PROJECT app, the system settings can be adjusted to the conditions of the tour before the rider even puts on the helmet.
The support modes offer ten different levels with different power parameters, five setting options for start support or the possibility to define the maximum torque in optimal coordination with your own riding style and three different modes (Eco, Trail and/or Boost). The settings can be saved in two different profiles. If the bike is used during the week for commuting to work and on the weekend for trail riding, it is easy to switch between these profiles.

Trail Mode: Progressive, controllable power on demand
The revised Trail Mode uses the entire 85 Nm of the EP8 drive to support the rider comfortably, safely and reliably in difficult passages. Our extremely versatile support mode is optimally tuned out of the box and requires no further adjustment. With it, almost all trails can be mastered. The harder a rider pedals, the more power the motor assistance provides.
This means that the rider is supported by the drive unit at exactly the right time and can rely on always having optimum traction and control. Whether loose sand or steep climbs in the mountains, the drive unit always adapts quickly and independently so that the rider can concentrate completely on the terrain.
Nexus Inter 5-E: Suitable for city riding and trekking
In combination with our special gear hub for e-bikes, the EP8 drive unit is suitable for city and trekking. Demanding leisure riders benefit from the full torque of 85 Nm, lower power loss and more efficient shifting under load. Five quickly available gears allow more comfortable riding and a comfortable cadence.
