With its small 20-inch tires and the long rear, the Tern GSD is a mixture of compact bike and cargobics. It is available with different circuit options, we drove the version S10 with a 10-speed chain circuit from Shimano. The strong Bosch Cargo Line drive works on the GSD, as a battery there are 500 Wh standard, another 500 are optional. Tern is very diverse in terms of accessories. Up to two child seats fit on the long rear, and numerous pocket and luggage rack options are available for front and back. Our test bike was equipped with the new clubhouse Fort-Raugbau, which brings children dry to the destination and a luggage rack on the front. Big plus on the GSD: Thanks to its small overall length and the construction, it drives almost like a normal bicycle and has an extremely small turning circle compared to most Long-John models. Due to the small wheels, however, it looks a bit nervous in curves. For loading and unloading, the GSD can be lifted onto the biped stand without any problems, where it is safe. Practical: The handlebar can be folded in, for example to transport the wheel in the trunk of a car.
